Hugs, kisses, and a recipe.

A lovely addition to our sprinting weekend away and back was seeing lovely S. for a few hours, shop, catch up, drink coffee – I forget how much I miss you lady! As promised – The recipe for Hawaiian Burgers. I’ll make them for you when you come up in November. xoxox

A’s Dorm Room Hawaiian Burgers for S.

Burgers-

1 pkg ground beef (I always get the big one – get medium lean)

1/2 small onion, minced

1/2 can condensed milk

1/2 cup of bread crums

1 egg

-Mix all of above together in a bowl, form into approx. 8 ish burger patties, fry in a large pan. When 3/4 cooked (just a little pink inside) put on plate.

Sauce-

2 cups pineapple juice

4 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 cup vinegar

1/2 cup brown sugar

4 tbsp soy sauce.

-Mix all ingredients together in a medium pot, heat on high, whisking the whole time, until thick. Pour over burgers in a new clean pot or large skillet. (S – I usually add 1/2 cup pineapple chunks and 1/2 green pepper at this point) Let cook until the burgers are cooked through, I always made this with rice for you.
