the sounds we make

dearest bloggers. I will be away for the next week – my grandmother, full of life in my kitchen two days ago, has passed away. We raced across the country to be with her, and had the opportunity to whisper our goodbyes, our love and our thank-yous in her ear. Grief is messy and sticky and so very quiet. I will be back when I can. xo

No words can ease or soothe the questions… or make sense of all the sentiments that seem to float about during these times… just know we are all here for you, in whatever capacity you may need.

My dearest sympathies to you and your family A.

    *hugs*

  13. Oh my friend, my heart is with you. Last year on June 13th, one of my best friends suddenly died. He was biking and was hit by a beer truck. It was such a shock to me and all of our friends. Grief is such a mysterious experience. No matter how many people die, it never gets easier. It is always a new experience, as unique as each individual that we are so privileged to encounter in our own brief lives. I am sure that your grandmother’s passing is not easy. It sounds as though it was as swift a passing as my friend Patricks. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I hope that time with your family and people you love with make the grieving experience full and clear, yours eyes teary with love for someone so special. ❤

  14. A lot of hugs coming your way *hugs*
